Welcome to Roseville, CA
Hello, I am Suz!
Welcome to Roseville and NorCal Stay Gold where I invite you to come along on some sights and find great active things to do in Nothern California!
Maybe it’s the honeymoon phase still, but I am in love with Roseville and am having so much fun living here!
When I started reasearching Roseville, I noticed that there wasn't much out there to connect all the amazing outdoor things we love to do here and I hope to provide a fun place to gather some authentic local experiences in and around Roseville!
A little about me...I have lived all over the United States, Korea (yes SOUTH Korea) and Japan, and like many of my military brat friends it’s hard to find a place that feels like home when you have lived most of your life as a nomad.
I have lived in SoCal, the Central Coast and now I live in NorCal and when we stopped in Roseville, it just felt like home for the first time! We couldn't believe the climate and and how friendly the people are and don't get me started on the nature!
After the reading “The Great Reshuffling” article from Zillow and realizing the world was changing, we realized we could work from anywhere and were no longer trapped in Arizona.
When the world started opening up again, the exodus of people went to places where homes were less expensive like Florida and the Carolinas. When we moved from Arizona, Californians were buying twice as much square footage and thought we were bananas to move to California.
Arizona has phenomenal national parks, outdoor recreation, and fantastic mountain biking and hiking but not from June to mid-October. It is in the triple digits for almost half the year in Central Arizona. It is not just a dry heat, it is wind and sandstroms and we were done!
We were lucky to sell quickly and buy a smaller home in Roseville before the real estate market started to slow down and interest rates went up. In the whirlwind move, we really didn't have a chance to fully realize everything that was around us.
Now that we have settled in, every free moment has been a new discovery and a new place.
Northern California is amazing and I am happy to share my finds, places, my obssession with nature, and of course some good food!
Feel free to contribute and hope to see you on a trail, river or path soon!
Stay Gold!
